Job overview
Exciting opportunities have arisen within Cardiff and Vale UHB for experienced musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapists to join our Outpatient Physiotherapy Team. We are looking for highly specialist autonomous practitioners with the skills to deliver across the musculoskeletal pathway. These individuals will be dynamic, innovative and have significant post registration experience. They will work closely with the Clinical / Principal Physiotherapists, Team Lead Physiotherapists, and the wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
Main duties of the job
The post holders will undertake specialist multi-body part MSK clinical caseloads in the Locality MSK outpatient physiotherapy service, in addition to supporting wider MSK services, which include primary care first contact, self-referral, triage services, community or secondary care clinics. They will act as an autonomous practitioner providing expert intervention, specialised assessment and treatment which may include Non-medical Prescribing and Injections. Individuals can expect support in the completion of specific Health Board competency programmes and then access to ongoing support for their CPD.
In addition, the post holders will assist in the provision of clinical supervision, which will include physiotherapists, student physiotherapists, support staff and members of the wider MDT.
