OUR REGION:

Cardiff, the thriving Welsh capital has something for everyone. At its heart sits Cardiff Castle with 2000 years of history. Nearby stands the Principality Stadium, home of the Welsh Rugby Union and host to International sporting events. Cardiff also boasts a variety of theatres and live music venues. Furthermore, there’s Cardiff Bay with a range of new apartments, bars and restaurants.

The Vale of Glamorgan offers a combination of beautiful Welsh countryside and a dramatic natural coastline, including the famed Glamorgan Heritage Coast. Cowbridge, Penarth and Llantwit Major are some of the charming neighbouring towns.

Those seeking more culture may find themselves drawn to the National Museum, St Fagans Museum of Welsh Life or the Millennium Centre, home of the Welsh National Opera.

Whether city life or rural living, Cardiff and the Vale offers the best of both worlds.

Job overview

Exciting opportunities have arisen within Cardiff and Vale UHB for experienced musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapists to join our Outpatient Physiotherapy Team. We are looking for highly specialist autonomous practitioners with the skills to deliver across the musculoskeletal pathway. Main duties of the job

The post holders will undertake specialist multi-body part MSK clinical caseloads in the Locality MSK outpatient physiotherapy service, in addition to supporting wider MSK services, which include primary care first contact, self-referral, triage services, community or secondary care clinics.  They will act as an autonomous practitioner providing expert intervention, specialised assessment and treatment which may include Non-medical Prescribing and Injections. Individuals can expect support in the completion of specific Health Board competency programmes and then access to ongoing support for their CPD.

In addition, the post holders will assist in the provision of clinical supervision, which will include physiotherapists, student physiotherapists, support staff and members of the wider MDT.
