Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (the UHB) is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.

Mass Imms Call Handler Advert, Band 2
Our COVID mass immunisation has been very successful and we are looking for key people to join our team as we continue to vaccinate the population of Cardiff and Vale UHB.
We are keen to attract ‘first point of contact’ call handlers to deal with telephone calls from the public to book appointments for immunisation or testing. You will be key to the smooth running of the team and will have good communication skills, have experience of working with the general public, able to demonstrate empathy, tact and good customer service skills. You should be able to give and receive information and have a friendly manner and able to meet the values and behaviours of the UHB.
The role will be taking calls and providing information to the public throughout the shift. While in a team you will be generally working independently with support from a Team Lead and Line Manager. The information you provide will be outlined for you and training and support will be provided on induction and as and when new processes or changes are made.
The role is generally busy and while the service is running 7 days a week, 8 am to 8 pm there are opportunities to work flexibly. You may experience increasing calls at certain times of the day/week as the vaccine programme moves through different phases. You will therefore need to show resilience and adaptability and be self-motivated.
